Its the only source of fixing (besides Gene Pollinator, another deceptively good card) and its also a mana sink of sorts
I created all of these decklists myself, although I used decks at the time that won as my inspiration
Plus, some decks just want critical mass of these effects
[c]City of Brass[/c], [c]Mana Confluence[/c], [c]Exotic Orchard[/c], [c]Forbidden Orchard[/c], and [c]Gemstone Caverns[/c]: are all functionally similar to [c]Command Tower[/c], only they come with slight downsides and restrictions
